Be sure your device has the 3 ICSD certificates to be able to get online. Cert

Certificates 2025 - Updated June 2025

All devices connecting to Internet services in Iron County Schools requires users to install these certificates on their device.

 

Mac OS instructions: (for Safari, Chrome, Edge)

  1. Download this file: Certificate
  2. Find the file in your downloads called "ICSD_Certificates_Installer.zip"
  3. Double click to unzip the file. An unzipped file will appear.
  4. Right Click or Control Click on "ICSDCertInstaller" to get the popup menu. Click "Open"
  5. If a warning pops up, click "Open"
  6. Type in your computer password.
  7. You now have the Certifificates. :-)

 

 

Firefox on Mac and Windows (the newset Firefox version).

  1. Install the Mac or Windows certificates on you computer.
  2. Firefox can now use the system Certificates. However, Firefox needs to be configured to use the enterprise root certificates. If you know how to do that, change the security.enterprise_roots.enabled to TRUE. If you need help to change this, contact a school tech specialist.

Right Click or Control Click to get the menu. Click Open.

Windows (3 Certificates)

  1. Download these files: Certificates
  2. Double click to unzip the files. Open each file.
  3. Enter the computer password if prompted
  4. Follow the promps on the Windows Installer Wizard to install each certificate. When you are asked for a location, you must Browse to the Trusted Root folder (don't just take the default location).

 
iPhone and iPad (IOS 12 and up)
  1. Using Safari on your iPhone, tap this link: Certificate (Allow this)
  2. Open Settings>General>Profile and tap on the sss_decrypt certificate. Tap on Install (type in you phone passcode to allow)
  3. Tap Install again if it says "The authenticity cannot be verified". A green check mark will show in the window.
  4. Open Settings>General>About>Certificate Trust Settings. Tap on the button on the right side to of the sss_decrypt to activate and trust the certificate.
  5. Repeat for the 2 Internet Portal certificates (for high schools and middle schools only): Certificate #2 - Certificate #3
Android Phone
  1. Using a browser on your Phone, click this link: Certificate
  2. Download the file
  3. Give the file a name (example: cert)
  4. Your phone will be required to have a passcode if you don't already have one
  5. Save and the certificate will install
  6. Repeat for the 2 Internet Portal certificates (for high schools and middle schools only) Certificate #2 - Certificate #3
